New Camp Knife? We'll see?

Thought I would post pics of what I hope will be a great new camp knife and chopper. It's a modified Khuk from KH in the middle between my HI 15" Chiruwa AK and my Crewman. I just vinager etched it to find the temper line. You can barely see it in the bottom picture. I think it should have gone a little further down the blade but we'll see how it works. My next step is to give the blade a satan finish and get the grind marks out and touch up the handle. It's going to get a little sharpening and probably a convex edge. I hope to do some comparison chopping this weekend with some pics hopefully. I am hoping for something a little more versatile than my Khuk but they will be hard to replace. It has a 9.5" blade with 14.25" OAL.

I am going to add the lanyard hole. If it doesn't get designated to too much of a workhorse, I want to eventually change the handle slabs out. Hadn't really thought of a false edge.
