New Case Butterbean

I think a baby butterbean will probably be my next slippie; I like the size and shape. The only thing I don't like is that a pair of spear point blades seems redundant. What I'd really find handy is if, in place of the small blade, there was a SAK-style bottle opener/screwdriver. Just fantasizing, but I wonder how much time, effort and money would be involved in getting somebody to make me such a thing?

Hi,

It might make an interesting variation to have a cap-lifter/screwdriver blade. Though I would be interested in a scissors. What I would be concerned about is how much wider the frame would get to accommodate the new blade. The main spear and the pen blades are quite thin across the spine. My Case measures .054" across the spine on the main spear and .042" on the pen. Perhaps willgoy's suggestion might be best, a Wharncliffe main blade would look pretty nice!

I have a small wharncliffe trapper, courtesy of a trade with SunnyD. The wharncliffe is an excellent blade for daily edc use.
