Wharncliffe whittlers are great, useful knives. If you don't mind Case's stainless steel, their seahorse is a well-styled whittler! I love them, and have most of the seahorses in a collection, except for the "kool-aid" colors of bone. They made one in ATS-34 as well, but it's harder to find.
I have one in green bone, and I like it. I use it a lot, and the edgeholding really isn't bad for 420 stainless. I'd still like to run across one in CV.
i have one in amber bone and used the wharny blade today to cut off some branches about size of my thumb. it's Tru-Sharp and it cut thru the wood easily (putting the Queens to shame) and a little better than my new stainless Boker. now that's initial, not edge holding, but it's a nice start. also the handle shape for me is v. comfortable, fits in there perfectly. roland
Hello! Any good pix of Case mini-copperlocks? The reason I ask is that the pix on the Net or E-bay don't show much.I want to know what amber bone scales look like,it seems pink in most of the representations I've see. Can't be, or?
