New Case Russlock

Probably orange G10, instead of micarta. Pattern 101953L (same pattern# in black G10 also, and maybe red too). Case did quite a few patterns in orange G10 around 2004, give or take.

They making these with the drop point?

Lets bring this up again. I was recently looking for one of these Russlocks with a drop point for a friend's birthday and holly cow, they're expensive now. There's a nice looking one with red jigged bone, one with stag and the blue one I now have. I don't think the red or stag one were out when I purchased mine. Any ideas on the prices being so high? I think I paid a little of $50 for this one new. Now they're $80-100 and the red jigged bone is even higher. I understand that the stag would be a little higher but I have no idea on the other two. Are these limited some how? I thought it was a production knife with bunches made.

Randy, I noticed this also. Some time ago, I was searching through the german dealer sites for Case knives and they got pretty expensive now. Especially the Russlock is an expensive pattern. (the most expensive pattern is the Slimlock - ok it has a higher steel, but that price...) I don´t think that they are limited in any way. I saw them in 2012 catalogue in the regular lineup.

Collectorknives.net (knifeswapper here on BF) still has the Calypso, Blue Lagoon, and Stag for very reasonable prices. The rare Russlock that's eluding me is the (questionably useful) serrated pumpkin carver. Such a handy pattern and the inclusion of the drop points only made them better.

There were some earlier models that got really collectible really fast. But in general the pattern is not significantly more expensive in respective covers than any other similar sized pattern. But Case knives are easing north these days, as are all other brands.
