New chant: KhukRat

Got talking Khuks tonight at work and I mentioned the KhukRat, the idea of a SwampRat Khuk' grabbed the attention of my co-workers, we need to make this happen!

Just got back from a few days in Blue Ridge Ga and Iwas using my Fiddleback Forge 12" machete to cut up 2" to 3" poplar branches for firewood, and it made me think about the anorexic khukrat. A 13" blade, somewhere between 5/32" and 3/16" would be awesome. What more could you ask for? By the way, the Fiddleback is only 3mm thick that comes out just under 1/8".

I think a SwampRat KhukRat and any of my small BusseKin knives, RMD, HRLM, CABS would take care of any situation one would encounter on a backpacking/camping/hunting/fishing trip. I can't imagine falling short with this set-up or needing anything else cept maybe, a very small folder for very small game and having that in your pocket is nothing to carry.

It doesn't need to be anorexic, just no thicker than 3/16" :D.

Bump for the master of all Khuks!!!

I don't know guy's. I think they are scared to make the KhukRat, as the demand would require too much overtime to try and fill all the order's :)

I do alot of real world shopping and limbing of trees.
The cold steel kuk has a great overall feel and handle but SK-5 isn't a good steel. I get many chips from just limbing hard branches...
I think the time is right for a SR-101 Kuk
Bring it !!!

Did some chopping the other day with my Waki and as fun as it was I could not help thinking of the KhukRat... I didn't tell my Waki :D.

I have wanted a Kuk for a long time now. I wanted decent steel but was not going to pay hundreds for a finished older CS Carbon V model so I ordered a unfinished Carbon V blade off Feebay last year that was so pitted it was unusable. I recently ordered another unfinished Carbon V blade off the Bay, but the seller has been a real flake and not sure if it will ever make it here. I had to file a Paypal dispute but supposedly after waiting over a month, it's on it's way. With the huge prices the old finished Carbon V model's bring, It seem's a Swamprat version would be a huge seller and would certainly be superior to Carbon V IMO! Seem's I will never get one. :( boo hoo !

My arm is hurting this morning from all the chopping I did yesterday with a crappy machete. Sure wish I had that KhukRat to make easy work out of it. Come on guy's, bring this thing!! :)

Common Eric, some traitor took this to the Hogs... we cannot let them beat us to a Res-C Khuk!!! Long Live the KhukRat!!!
