I recently finished up this heavy duty chopper, it is ready to tear up some wood, go camping, or massacre some zombies! The heat treat was done by me with my digitally controlled kiln. It has a full flat to convex chisel grind so it is very versatile and tough. The carved G10 handle is smooth and comfortable yet very grippy and was attached with West System G-Flex epoxy.

I can throw in a tek lok compatible custom kydex/concealex sheath for $25 more, $35 with a tek lok. If you would like a simple lanyard for the knife I will custom make you one for free in your choice of paracord, I have a pretty good selection.

5160 steel - differentially hardened for maximum toughness and edge holding ability
MCAM G10 scales and stainless tubes
about 1/4" thick and a little over 12" long
Chisel Grind with convex tip

Sole Authorship - Handmade in the USA

$225 shipped Sold.

Very nice Daniel, great job on the finish!

Thanks Alan, I have a lot of time in to this one and I'm happy with how the finish came out.

Chop chop baby!!!! Nice bro!

Thanks Bill!

Thank you sir!

I really wish i had a zombie problem so i could justify that to my wife!:D

But you need the knife before the zombies show up! :D

I noticed what looked like a scratch on the g10 so I cleaned it up and took a new photo. It has some lint or pollen on it in this photo, I have it wiped down with ballistol and didn't wan't to remove the coating.

Interesting -- looks like it should be efficient at splitting a bambi pelvis this fall, too.

Dan the man. Very well thought out & executed! That handle material + your shaping down pattern.....R O C K S!

Thanks Bro, I like what you have been doing yourself, awesome work! That was really cool doing that 50 knife give away. USA!

Daniel
That is just a pure A$$ KICKER!! Watch out Zombies

Just flash the blade at them... not even zombies want some of this!

It looks wild but should be very versatile in the field. There is plenty of weight forward in this design for strength and chopping but it is still a good slicer, the choil helps with that as well.

Serious whacker my friend, can't wait! Someone needs this blade

Thanks! I can't wait for you to see yours... soon come!

Does a chisel grind make a good chopper edge?

Absolutely! It isn't quite a zero bevel so there is plenty of meat on the edge. The convexed tip is good for digging and prying.

I ground the chisel with almost a full flat grind so it will also slice well.
