I've been working with another maker trying to slim up some of my designs, and get a cleaner look. I feel like I made a big improvement in looks on these knives. After handling these I feel my other knives are too big, but I still have some guys who will not order anything other than my older style, I'm gonna have to convince them to try these. Here are two models I came up with that people seem to like. These two are left with a machine finish, but I have some I will have finished up that have a hand polished blade and different handle materials. Would like to hear what ya'll have to say.

CPM-154 stainless blade hollow ground on 14" wheel
416 bolsters
Black linen Micarta
Tapered tang

I forgot to renew my knifemaker membership I need to get that done so I can post in the gallery.

I like the bolsters, I think the handles would be nice if they tapered more into the thin bolster. Overall I like these knives.

I would also prefer the scales to taper more smoothly into the bolsters. I really like both profiles. You've got a great designs there, Ryan. I like the slim look as well, and you've done a great job!

The scales should taper into the bolsters, and the bolsters should taper into the scales.

Thanks for the replies guys. I wondered how the bolster junction would be received. I've seen it on a couple of knives and liked it. But it looks like I'm in a minority on that lol. I do want to take these to a show to see how the bolster junction is received there. Thanks again for the advice, keep it coming.

I just personally do not like large bolsters, and since that one is about 1/5 of the handle, it is not on my "knives to buy" list, and since everyone else here loves holsters, you can ignore me ;)
