Hi everyone I have not bought any new blades lately .So I was itching for some new steel but low on funds and I came across a condor moonshiner .I knew of condor already of course but had never purchased one.I was in need of a good choler anyway none of my blades are longer than 7 inches and that knife is a USMC kabar. So the moonshiner is what I got.I always thought you needed too spend a hundred dollars or more to get a good knife and I was wrong. This thing is a great knife. Some guys I read online said they did not come sharp but mine was fairly sharp serviceable for shire.I just wanted to touch it up some on the fine grit stone I have .So I put some black marker on the edge and started sharpening. When I was done I used some of my wife's nail polish remover to remove ansy traces of the marker off. This is something I do with a lot of my blades. After I applied the nail polish remover the blade hazyy looking and sorta sticky and discolored .I was quite worried the at I had ruined it.The hazy discoloratgreeseeventually came off but it took a half a bottle or more of flits polish and a lot of elbow free !Does anyone have any idea what the heck that was all about?
