Just finished this dagger and would like to hear some thoughts or suggestions. Recently discovered the blade was a pig sticker. It came as a blank in a box that I won in a local auction a few years ago. Thought?

I think the choice in the handle is nice, has a primal look to it. As for function: the "guard" sorta takes away some of your cutting length.

I agree. It is unfortunate, but I think it will mostly be a wall hanger. It actually does have very good balance. I thought about trimming those guards down, but I think that may take away from the overall look

Your knife could be used on a Holloywood set for a certain genre, not quite sure which type, but has an artistic flare. Not all knives have to be users, you may be be that type of Knifemaker. The treatment on the blade gives it that rustic look accompanied with the forward prongs of the horn. I would say you definitely have artistic talent.

Thanks, man! I'm no blade maker yet, but I like experimenting with different handle types.

Looks like relic weapon that could have some form of imbued magical effect from a RPG like Dungeons and Dragons.

The guard has me biting my tongue. Very cool piece but as a functional knife it wouldn't hold my interest. However points to you for making it and it looks very primitive. I looked at it and thought some Wiccan somewhere is trying to find the buy it now button lol.

Hahaha! Perhaps they are! It will definitely be more of a decorative piece a less I modify that guard. I'm not much for decoration, as I am more concerned with functionality as well. This one just turned out that way
