New CRK Fixed Blade....???

Classic CRK style black canvas micarta would have been perfect.
No need to throw the baby out with the bath water. Same colour scheme on handle and sheath as with the Nyala, and the graphite-ish blade coating goes well with it, too.

See post #39

**UPDAT** 12/11/14
FINAL PERMISSION HAS NOT BEEN GIVEN FROM GERMANY

Send Heather the email from Globetrotter giving permission for USA sales. Just got off the phone with Heather. The Umkhombe is up for sale from CRK.

$270 plus $15 for shipping

I gotta say I like it, and the price seems reasonable for CRK. I really prefer the in-house CRK designs to the harsey collaborations, mainly because they tend not to be serrated. That umnumzaan swedge on this knife would actually be very useful I would say. Maybe more useful than it is on the umnum, as you are more likely to wedge, scrape, pry, and twist into things with a fixed blade.

Just think, you could head out into the woods with this knife, an Impofu, and the Insingo Nyala, and be pretty much ready for anything........it would take some weight out of your wallet too!

Thanks for making this happen Tom. One more amazing CRK will be coming my way shortly.

I think you are going to cost me $270.00 (No shipping for me...I will just drive over there :) )

It has flat, fluted scales that I'm not a fan of in a colour I don't really like much....sorry the rest of the knife is not enough for me to get over that. :D

That name is also translated as "Rhino". Some blasted, black micarta would be more fitting even if just for name sake......I'm sorry if that offends, but you can't please all the people all of the time. :)

I hear you....but it appears that those scales could be easily swapped out;)

To be honest, most of the CRK fixed blades don't raise my pulse, but hey, they are nice knives and plenty of others do like em.

I like some of the fixed blade offerings. I love the Pacific, but the serrations just absolutely Kill it. I begged CRK for a non serrated version, but no go.

Really nice offering from CRK, but I agree with Haze on the scales. Micarta would be much more suited (IMO)for a knife like this. Hell, I wish he used Micarta on all of the fixed.

I'm sure I'll buy one anyway!

Blade Length. 4.5in
Handle length. 5.5in
Weight. 7.75oz

Great work, thank you!

So, do we need to get individual permission to buy these then or are we good to contact CRK directly and order one?

I just got off the phone with Heather and apparently they have NOT received final ok for USA sales. I did receive written permission from Germany but that was not good enough for final permission.

So, it sounds like you received individual permission for you, but any further sales would need the same until Global releases permissions on US sales.

A few more hoops..I can't wait for the influx of requests to CRK..

Poor Heather
