New CRK Interview

It's funny, because I have a large Regular, and feel the ergonomics were a serious mis-step that Chris Reeve recovered from when he went basically back to his previous design with the Classic, and later the 21. I like the Regular blade shape, and it looks sexy, but those "traction scallops" make absolutely no sense to me, and just plain bug my hand. I don't understand the concept I guess, so my collection of regulars has stalled at one copy. I keep trying to like the design, mainly because you, nyefmaker, always say it was his high point, and I respect your opinion.

Just goes to show it's different strokes for different folks. I believe there is a chance that the Inkosi may come to rule them all, but I gotta get one in hand first!

+1000....couldnt agree more.

Well, when the online and print press cover CRK, he's not present and he used to be.

Personally, I feel nothing made today will ever match the Old Regular Sebenza design.

My first CRK was a large regular. Personally, I love my 2015 large Insingo WAY more; it feels way more comfortable in hand (for me), and it's blade has a much thinner primary grind than the reg's. And those grooves on the regular don't feel as ergonomic or comfortable to me. The 21's neutral frame feels like it fits my hand nicely. Out of all CRKs, my first love is the large Insingo.

I'm sure they are not interested in re-hasshing personal info, that is non knife related. Count me in for Regular lover, and wishing for a re-issue of same!

I don't know, but to me Chris is the Knifemaker, so what he's doing when it comes to knives is certainly "knife related". If his company wants to keep some secrets for business reasons, that's their perogative. Maybe he's working on a slipjoint :)
