Check this out, a folding Pesh Kabz:

I really like that! I have a feeling this will be my next knife, unless I can get my hands on a 3D Native anytime soon. Do you know when this new CRKT will be available?

They look great! I can't wait to get mine, along with an EDC size M-16 (in AUS-8!!!, no less!!!).

They are supposed to be shipping to distributors sometime after the SHOT Show. CRKT ships to distributors first then factory dealers. The samples I saw from the sales rep looke real nice. The Lightfoot M1 looked real impressive though. CRKT has introduced a lot of new models for 2003. CRKT fans should be pleased.

I've had one for about a week now. I got it from an online knife dealer (one of the big ones). Cost about $35 plus shipping. It's nice if you have small hands, and the blade is THICK! Nice folder.

My local shop has (or had?) some in a week or so ago. It is a nice little knife, but I prefer my friend's real Nealy Pesh Kabz. ;)

AUS-8?!? Wow, what a knife for the price. I could have sworn the crkt site said it was AUS-6 though....

I was just going to post about the new m16 EDC, guess you guys beat me to it. I emailed 1sks.com and they say they'll probably be taking pre-orders in 2-3 weeks.

Dimensions are:
Blade: Overall length: 3.12” (7.9 cm)
Cutting edge: 2.5” (6.4 cm)
Thickness: 0.12” (0.30 cm)
Steel: AUS 6M, 55-57 HRC
Handle: Closed length: 4.25” (10.8 cm)
Weight: 3.9 oz. (111 g)
MSRP $69.99

The Pesh Kabz design doesn't really make sense to me, it's obvious distinctive feature is a strong tip, yet it is a relatively thin blade, in a relatively small, liner-locking folder (albeit with the LAWKS.)

I would think a blade design like that would better fit a bigger, stronger design.

I'm a big fan of CRKT. And I love buying/trying new steels/lock systems/blade types etc. But what use is THIS blade shape today? I read the press release from CRKT about it piercing chainmail... but what all do you folks use it for?

And YAY! for the M-16 EDC!! It rocks!!!
