The assisted opener bar is a pain in the butt to take out of the Hissatsu 2. I could not take mine apart fully because two of the screws would not come out. They just turn freely! I spent much time trying to figure out how to remove it without taking it completely apart. It was not fun....especially since I had the pivot screw removed and the little washers fell out and the LAWKS fell out. What a pain to get them back in place without being able to fully disassemble. I finally got it all back together but now the liner lock engages further over than it should.
I bought two so the removal of the tension bar was somewhat of an experiment in the first one. I did finally figure out how to remove it without taking anything apart on the second one. I loosened the screw that holds the bar in place (#6 torx) then used a tiny screw driver to push it out of place with the blade in the open position. (There is a tiny hole in the butt end of the folder you can push the tension bar out through) I then closed the blade and pushed the torsion bar towards the spine. Lifted up the torsion bar out through the opening on the spine end of the handle then grabbed it with a pair or pliers and pulled it completely out. A big pain!!!!!
CRKT should offer the folding Hissatsu 2 without the assisted opening feature just like they offer the regular sized Hissatsu folder with and without the assisted opening feature.
