New CS Bushman sheaths

Thanks guys its good to know that the knife is as good as before. I done everything with my bushman as its the only large knife I have and it done well for me. Might get another one for a spare or a back up.
I wonder how good Condor is?? It looks as if they did copy the bushman and more then doubled the price on it. One of the things that did made the bushman so good was that you get alot of a knife for the money.

Interesting you say that. I've noticed the CS Bushman's price going up - both market and MSRP. The Condor's MSRP may seem high, but I think they'll sell for considerably less once more distributors start carrying them and that particular model. The Matagi will give the Bushman a run for its money. Condor has been a liked company since its inception and they produce quality knives for the price points.

It's also bigger and broader with cord on it from the factory and a nice leather sheath plus a fantastic warranty. It's really gonna' give CS a run for their money.

As soon as I'm able! No 2013 models have hit yet, and I imagine that the ones that require minimal tooling (Bushcraft Parang and Speed Machete) will be the first to make an appearance. More complex pieces like the Matagi and the Tactana will probably be amongst the last to become available. But I have no idea and could be totally wrong--it's just a guess.

I'll wait for you to get them as well. They are pre-order everywhere right now, and I've had two good Baryonyx experiences already

Thanks for the kind words! No worries if you find them someplace else first and decide to go that route, though--I can understand how hard it can be to wait! :D

Off topic, but have you had a chance to handle a Bushcraft Parang yet?

Nope! They're not available yet. Will give my impressions as soon as they come in but I have no idea when that'll be.

I made a lot of mods to my original CS bushman

cord wraped and epoxied the handle, Cliped the blade lowering the point to the centerline, Thermo/plastic sheath with pocket for a SAK.

That's pretty cool right there!

Just ordered me another bowie bladed bushman. Had one a while back and gave it to a friend.

I had found a place to order bushman seconds for $15 but they never had any in stock. They finally took the page down so I guess I'll just spring for a regular one. Also looking forward to the Matagi and crocidillian machete.

Got my bowie bushman in and not surprisingly it came with the old sheath, which is fine with me. When they start shipping with the new sheaths I'll order a regular bushman and do a comparison.
