I have been looking at these for a while. Friday I broke down and got one. Ordered it Friday, received it Monday, couldn't ask for anymore.

I really like this knife. It is a brute, but I knew that going in. I was looking for a beefy one. I have a few slicers and wanted something heavier. Can't wait to get it out and play with it.

Congrats!! that one has been on my "next to buy" list now for a while.
I've just been a little short on knife funds lately or I'd already have one.
It never looks that big in pictures, but when I looked at the youtube
video, it's definitely a Big Honker....quite a fist full.
Hope you post a review after you live with it for awhile.
Regards Sonny

I like mine so much, I will be getting a 'backup' in a few weeks.

Just as an FYI, mine must be an early production model, because the locking liner is thinner and looks punched out rather than nicely bead blasted. I was going to send it in, but the locking liner seated correctly after a while and the blade took a great edge at 20° per side.

Longbow, I like those buck/striders. I've been watching for one in PE. Are they as heavy as the CSAR? The CSAR sure feels every bit the 1/2 pound + that it is. I would hate to fall in deep water with it in my pocket.

... and have been very impressed. A tough knife built for what the name implies. A formidable weapon closed and gripped in your fist. The back end can probably be used to shatter glass car windows. Make no mistake-- this is not a pocket carry knife. Use the sheath. In fact, I took the clip off my knife.

Only complaint-- my sheath did not come with a snap. Instead, it uses a two-prong "male" end to insert into the "female" end..the correct technical term for this fastener eludes me:D

Some will be disappointed with the weight of the knife. I say, if you're gonna be a bear, be a grizzly. When I need a pocket-carry knife, I carry my Emerson; but, I prefer to have my CSAR.

I believe you're talking of the "Molle" sheath. I have both sheaths and personally I like the Molle sheath better due to it takes a lot more to "accidentally pop out". I keep mine on my backpack arm sling I can tell you, this knife is made for the outdoors. I also agree with your pocket choice...A-100 myself but, we don't talk too much of that on this forum! ;)

I bought this knife and I love it. It is one beast and built for hard use. Locks up tighter than alcatraz and feels as strong as a fixed blade. Worth every penny!!
