New Danny Collection Knives Are Out!

The 116 was gone before I even saw the e-mail. I am getting too old to be chasing theese limited run knives anyway. Plus they stretch my budget to the limit, Congrats to everyone who got what they wanted.

I saw this late. It didn't matter. The 501 was of interest until I saw the $250 price tag. Too rich for my blood and I already have 5 excellent 501's. Enjoy them boys and post pics!

Based on the email today from Buck, I think Danny P may be only retired as the Head of Warranty. Maybe he is still working at Buck making these Limited Editions ?

Buck email - "Danny's legacy continues . . ." and "Following his retirement from Head of the Warranty Department". I read this as the knives were made after this retirement.

". . .in this third release." Implying there will be further releases. Otherwise, why not build the hype more by saying, third and final release.

Pretty slick looking knives Danny cooked up. It would be cool if he'd do a limited release once a year or so even in retirement. That dude has great ideas.

The 124's were gone by the time I got the e-mail. More than I could afford really, but dayummmmm, been asking for a 124 in 3V for a while now.

I've been busy working and cleaning up property and missed all this til now. didn't even get any Buck emails on it. kinda glad nice stuff but I needed the money on 2 stroke tools I upgraded on......

Does anyone remember the prices for the 5 knives? The Buck web site no longer has the knives listed and I don't remember the prices. I believe the first Danny Collection knife has made it to the auction site with a price of $399 plus shipping for the 116.

I believe the 501 was $249.

Not having a chip flint blade knife in my collection, this is the one I wanted.

Besides looking good, it acts as jimping as well.

It would be a great option on the 113 Custom Shop knives.
I'm impressed.

That was the one I was most interested in, so I pulled the trigger just before they sold out. Glad I did because It's really nice!!

This is marketing science. The most expensive offering was less than 500 dollars. 3 for less than 250, and 1 they almost gave away for less than 200....
