Nice! Definitely a better value, made in the US, Magnacut, very cool.
 
I hope they make a blacked out DLC version of the magnacut, I like the size/weight to replace my SRK - DLC 3V version.

I’ve read various reviews and they say the same thing, the knife is a bear to remove from the sheath. Which is a shame if it can’t be adjusted. That was a big selling point of this knife, the innovative sheath. If I have to go get a custom sheath done up, that takes away from this knife. It looks great though, kind of like a cross between an SRK and an AD15. Since I have both, I’ll pass but if I was in the market, it’d be at the top of my list

Yeah I do some removal from the sheath in this latest video on the new USA Magancut model. Though it's not as easy as just pulling the knife out, I can do it one handed by pushing against the sheath with my thumb...
 
Does anyone have any insight as to why the Demko FREEREIGN magnacut version is now discontinued at the Knifecenter? It seems odd to have a product that launched only weeks ago to be discontinued, normally you will see an out of stock or backorder status. I am hoping that this is an availability issue vs. the discovery of production flaws with the steel itself.

ETA: My FREEREIGN shows some very shallow black surface pitting, I wonder if Demko knives is dealing with decarburization issues like other makers (Survive! using Peter's Heat Treat) have?
