Whoa! That blade would really hit with authority. Nice work Vim!
Looks a bit like the Smatchet designed by W. E. Fairbairn during WWII.

Wow...Look at the New "Infectees"...
Or Could be they are just waiting for the right blade to come along
The Good Word Must be getting around!!
Great to see, IMHO
Doc

How many of you remember the HIKK, Himalayan Imports Kenpo Khukuri? I have one, but no camera at this time. This blade is similar.

Great design. Actually, it goes back way before Fairbairn. :D
Like the khukuri itself, the ancient Greeks and Romans would have recognized the style.

I was just going to say that good thing I read all the previous posts or I would have felt like a real idiot:p

Looks like a short version of: Gladius Hispanicus, Welch sword, Celtic sword.
A little like a Pugio.
Also like the more modern French artillery sword, WWI Welch sword, Fair Sword and Smashette.

Should be fun!

Sword wise, I think it reminds me of a bloated Celtic sword, or a Mainz pattern gladius (which wasn't actually a gladius but rather also a Celtic design).
Knife wise, it's quite reminiscent of a pugio.

That is indeed a smatchet. I want one. Yangdu, please put my name on the list for an HI smatchet.

The blade is a little too wide and the price is a little high for me, but other than that, it looks great.
