New Design HI Spear Knife

I think I like "Smash-it" as the name of that knife. At that weight, I think it qualifies as armor piercing.

Magen at that weight you could still smack someone with it if it goes dull and cause them to have a very, very bad day! :D

Hi All

Most of the smatchets made by UK, US , Canadian forces in WWII, suffered from cracking above the bolster at the bottom of the blade. This version of the Smatchet...the " Vala" should not suffer from the same type of sensation.

The Australians made two version of the smatchet for the Anzac forces in the South Pacific. Their version one blade is wide at the bolster like the H.I. "Vala" and proved deadly to Japanese and Japanese sympathzing parties

Cheers

I'd be particularly intrigued if this blade were available as a spear: that could have some real utility for the feral-hog hunters, here in Texas!

G'day Mates

New to the group and a fan of Khukuris. I was told of the site by mates in the States. I took a gander through the threads and saw the Spear Knife. Blimey..looks like the Aussie Smatchet from World War Two carried by the diggers. bloody big knife.

Those are going for around $1,200 US. The HI version looks even beefier...

April 25th is ANZAC Day in Australia and New Zealand.

Lest We Forget...

Anzac Day is a national public holiday in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I and WWII ,also to commemorate the soldiers who fought in France and Belgium. Anzac Day is also observed in the Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa and Tonga.
