Hello WSS,

I had posted a PSK thread about 5 or 6 months ago. It generated a lot of feedback and appreciated it. I decided to re-design the PSK by moving the handle area forward an 1/8 but keeping the OAL at 6 3/8, and a cutting edge of 2 1/8. I also lowered the front finger guard by a 1/16 or so and changed the radius of the contact wheel while grinding the rear guard to 4 inches, when doing stock removal.

It has created a thicker handle that is still allows for a solid grip (especially with your anchor fingers) and maybe sleeker look :) I also cut the PSK from 3/32 stock that was 1 inch top to bottom. I used O1 for the entire batch this time.

I also created a larger PSKX. OAL at 7 5/8 and a cutting edge of 3 1/4. The blank was cut from 1/8 stock that was 1 inch top to bottom. I used O1 for the entire batch.

I used a convex grind for my primary bevel all on four of my first knives and think I will stick with this for the rest, in this batch anyway. I had only ground two knives befote with this type of belel, but, really like to do it this way as well as use a knife with a full convex.

Please let me know what you think.... John.

ooohhh.... those look great.... nice work john... i love those osage scales...

Those look great man, especially that first one. You're pumping out some cool steel.

When I saw em I immediately thought, 'Mike will dig those...' :D

Looks great to me! With such great workmanship, convex grinds, and an awesome working mans price, I might need to finally order something from you once I find some money......:o

Hey All,

Thanks for the feedback, I do appreciate it.

Glad you guys like the new changes as well.

They look fantastic. After receiving my osage pair, I'm not sure if I will be able to keep from ordering on. Haha. Maybe the MPX first, to complete the set.
Keep up the great work.

Love the Osage! Oh heck, they all look great. Slip right into a pocket and you are good to go.

Great stuff as always John. I super excited about the convex grinds too. Keep up the great work.

Hey Guys, thanks for the great feedback. I will try posting some more this weekend, I have a few synthetics in the works...

Thanks,
John

If I were the owner of that birch burl PSKX I would be a very happy camper. That is one spectacular looking knife. Great work on these tools brother. My compliments to the chef.

Thanks Dyslide.

I am buying more burls soon... I will get some more stuff posted this weekend.

Thanks for the compliments.

John

Those are some excellent looking knives. I really like the cocobolo, probably my favorite wood on a knife handle. These should be hot little items. The full convex grind looks very good as well.
