Anyone else up for a smaller Defensive stlye blade that packs a big punch? I was thinking a 1/4" thick 3.5 to 4" blade and 8" OAL with a Clip or Harpoon style tip! Oh and extra coarse handles maybe that rope Micarta stuff that GP used awhile back! Also a shaved rear so you can reverse grip without hesitation.:eek:

I've been thinking the same thing. I have a Strider EBS that is very close to what you mentioned. I'm not a huge Strider fan but that knife packs a lot of power in a very small package.

Isn't there a PD-TAC in the pipeline? Look at the smaller knife on the far right in this picture:

Yeah I forgot about the PDTAC that would be very similar.:thumbup:
 
if garth accepts my substitution from sjtac to batac sans choil/extra thin - it will be my ultimate self defense knife. solid tac grip, 5" blade - all edge with no disruptions. extra thin for both penetration and cutting performance.

what about the 1/4" thickness do you like for self defense purposes?

What a fun topic. I love imagining hurting and maiming in new and creative ways. :thumbup:

What about a Busse that has a grenade in the handle so after you stick it in your enemy you can pull the pin and watch them blow apart into little bits. That would be awesome. :rolleyes:

I can claim the same thing for people who carry a gun. are you looking to shoot someone in the face with it? cause thats what a gun is for.

I carry my knife as a tool, and I don't like guns (personal preference). so I'm kinda hard up if someone pulls a gun or knife on my friends. you use what you have, and in my case - I'm guaranteed to have a knife on me. not thinking about what happens if I pull it in a fight is self imposed ignorance of a very dangerous sort.

and what has been said about Philadelphia can also be said about my hometown of Stockton, ca.


edit: and yes. I do think of hurting people in new and devious ways - a lot of my freinds who are girls have been messed with. the men who did the messed up things don't deserve to keep the body parts that touched my friends.
