New designer working with ZT?

This was covered a long time ago - yes, some of his work was an influence. There are many ideas that influenced the design of the 0777, including some of my own older work. Some of the shapes and ideas are things that I have wanted to do for a long time.

It's exciting to get the chance to work with Dmitry - I have a lot of respect for him as a designer, and I think this piece will be very successful at home and abroad. I particularly like the beautiful, sculpted pocket clip on this piece.
The original intention of my comment was more about being excited for that influence to be in some new stuff from KAI. Upon rereading my original comment I realize I phrased that poorly.

I like the locking mechanism a lot.

Not really a fan of the blade on that particular knife, but everything else is spot on. I love the blue on the hinge as well. Nice touch.

Wish I could afford knives at that price point. Oh well, that's what pictures and dreams are for...

Keep in mind, the knife in the pictures is the prototype form the knifemaker, not one that we built. The production version will very likely be somewhat different.

Yeah, anyone know what the make/model of the knife on the brochure is???

I don't think it's been officially announced yet, but as jimmer said, it's a one off prototype build by SiDiS himself.

The knife sitting ON TOP of the brochure is the prototype built by Dmitry Sinkevitch.

I do not know who made the knife that is PRINTED in the brochure.

I hope this makes sense.... :)

Here is video from this show (it is not mine and it is in Russian) that shows this prototype near the end

Thanks for the vid Shevtar! I didn't realize the clip on the 0888 was ambidextrous and you could just push it from righty to south paw! Now If I only had a translator!

very interesting design for the new russian flipper, looking forward to this new ZT model Cardinator as stated on USN

I believe the knife on the cover is one from The Knife King in Austria - messerkonig.com - email Gerry. Fluent in English. Tell him your looking for the knife on the D-PO catalog.
