I was just on the phone with Paul Long

Paul said soon we will be at Blade buddy

Matt got anything new ?

I said he is trying :)

As soon as I hung up Matt sent me this pic and brief video

Let the games begin

Won't be many ...... and I'm taking one :)

Matt's a top talent in knifemaking...and he flies under the radar to a tremendous amount of collectors.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Can't wait to check it out!

I watched that video three times and I still can't see the blade open. It just miracles itself out. That's a stout spring.

I'm trying to figure out the release. There's stuff going on on the B side, but it also looks like the bolster pivots. But the screws seem wrong. Hmmmmmm.

Damn you teaser!

The button is the screw on the opposite side

Trick scale release, took me a couple views to catch it. Cool geometry makes it look like the scale can't pivot.

Rather slick little optical illusion what with the "whale tail" shape of the scale/bolster junction. Your first thought is that it just can't pivot. That's pretty darn clever.

Walk through entrance, bee line to Diskin booth.
Good eye, Ben! Mike

Now I see. Press up on the bottom of the scale and it rotates up on the 'interlocking' bolster. Like a gear mesh.

Matt ALWAYS has the cool factor! And Joe, you're like a giant megaphone: "Step right up!" without saying much of anything. ;)

You are pretty smart for a country boy :)

Come by early so you can see one ..........
Ha!

I'll be there bright and early Friday, see ya then!! I'll be the skinny guy with a straw hat, overalls and and a piece hay sticking out of my mouth. :)

That was not a totally finished piece my friend I'm sure it will be flush by the show :)

My problem is never selling them it's getting enough to sell that I'm not done Friday morning :)

Matt's a cool guy who makes really good knives
