New Dog in the House!

Not really...we give him plenty to chew on...treats, bones, toys, etc.

We learned our lesson on previous dogs...:D

Thanks for the link!

Mity Dog's favorite toy by far is a "furry bone" toy with a squeaker inside. Loves it...takes it everywhere...inside/outside. Buries/Hides it...then "finds" it again...:D

The squeaky balls are available all over, too - the Amazon link was just handy.

Mity Dog sounds great! The Jack Russell who introduced us to the squeaky balls was at the dog park last time we went, and when no one was paying attention, he'd line up about three or four feet away from a tennis ball, get real low to the ground, and then pounce! Then he'd put it down again, back up several feet, and go for it again. What a hoot!

JRTs are also smart as they can be. I had a neighbor who had one who was about the same age as my beagle, and the two dogs played together a lot. Unfortunately, she started traveling for work and had to give him away. About a year later, we were at the dog park and this Jack Russell kept coming up to me and jumping like he knew me. Then I heard someone call "Buddy" and I realized it was my neighbor's dog, all grown up! He had a nice new home and got to visit the family's farm every weekend, so everything worked out well for him. And I was amazed at that canine memory!

Bella the 11 week old German Sheppard sends her regards. Will try to get a picture up as soon as she stops for a nap.

We kindly refer to JRT dogs as Jack Russel Terrorists... :) Great dogs but most definately need some attention and training to make a GREAT pet. :D
