I finally got registered on the blade forum.

First post . First Beckers I bought BK16 and got a 15 too because it was real cheap. Now I really like the 15. The BK16 I got is a saber grind one. Must have been old stock. Then ordered another BK16 and a BK10, hasn't arrived yet

JD, if you dont like that Saber 16, I will gladly trade you a regular one, or buy it from you.... Just sayin...lol

Welcome! And great score on that Saber 16! I've heard of a couple people getting one of them by chance from the big river site. That's really cool!

Yeah , when I unpackaged it I new it was a old model and I was suprized . I liked and wanted the flat grind for slicing and skinning. Then I heard the saber bk16 kinda sought after. So I figure I better order another and put this away for now :D

I was knife challenged, so I been researching knives. I got a couple Condors and was looking at esse's and beckers and others. Almost ordered a esee 4,, no,,, Decided to go with Becker bk16 since I read Beckers are a good choice for people you like to modify(hot rod) their knives.

I think Im hooked on Beckers now. Didnt want a 2 cause its so thick, almost ordered a 7 next but using my vintage 7" USN MK2 I wished it was a inch or so shorter, looked at and liked the 12 but decided to save 40 bucks and ordered the BK10.

Now I want a BK 5 , since I liked the 15 so much

Your hooked! Welcome brother. That 16 is sweet. I haven't seen an etched, new coating saber, very cool. Congrats on your new blades! I'll predict your next order will be a 5 and 4.
If you like mods then your certainly in the right place. It was one of the biggest draws that got me addicted as well. Poke around and you'll find just about any and every mod possible by these fine folks. Questions? Ask away, there's always someone around to let ya know what's up, even the boss man himself.
 
Sabre 16 was a great score. Welcome! Don't look under Moose's kilt.
 
I called KaBar to ask about the saber 16, was told only about 500 were made ...... . Ive seen the signature ones, and the lady i spoke to at KaBar said the signature ones were only shipped to one vender store. '

I here/read Karbar got a lazer etcher and Ethan changed the 16 grind to FFG. This has a lazer etch stamp and saber grind. Anyone seen one like this?

What year did they switch to the FFG? Was it 2012?

Yes, but they are few and far between JDM. I own one atm. Derek has a few roll stamped ones I think, and Dex has a few roll stamped as well. Seems a few etched ones rolled off the line, but boxed out without being marked as different stock.

Biscuits waiting and watching, foaming at the mouth for you to say where you got it, then WHAM! deleted haha...
Just a fair warning, don't mention where it came from if its not forum sponser. Your going to get hounded to release that info.
