New EDC folder

The more I dig and the more suggestions I get, the harder this is getting.

I am not too sure about the aluminum handles, but I do like the shape.

Here are some assisted openers that come to mind (included a Skyline and Blackout for comparison). My top picks here would be the Blur and ZT 0566. You can get a red Blur from Kershawguy for $40 right now. The 0566 is a bit more expensive at $115 from Kershawguy (add to cart for discount) or USA Made Blade (use code "USAMADE" at checkout for the discount), but it is a heck of a knife, even at that price. The Cryo 2 and Thermite are under $40, the Knockout and Piston closer to $60, and the 0350 is around $110.

Here are some manual openers as well. The RAT-1 is probably my top pick from this lot in terms of best value. It can be had for about $30. The Lawman will be in the $50-60 range. The Stretch and Vantage Pro are around $70, and Griptilian around $100. The Gayle Bradley will be around $150.

Thank you for all that effort! This helps a great deal. Being able to see them lined up like this makes a big difference.

There are quite a few in that lineup I could be very happy with. If I had the funds, I would likely have several of them.

As far as the blur, I am just not sure. I have never had a blade with any recurve, and it looks like it would be a pain to sharpen.

If you have a Sharpmaker (or something similar, like a crock stick setup), the recurve is just as easy to re-sharpen as anything else. Some people also just sharpen it like any other straight edge, and the stone simply hits two different places on the blade at the same time.

There is also a plain-edge tanto Blur out right now, but if you are looking for a blade with a belly on it, that might not be for you. The tanto blade is very easy to sharpen (just two straight edges).
