I have been working on a new EDC pattern for a while, slightly larger than the small one I've been doing lately. I had a bit of extra room on a block of the high grade Koa that I got from burl source, so I took a couple slices to use on the intro knife for this pattern.
What makes this Koa so special is not just that it is curly (which is fairly common), but that it is curly combined with very rich, deep colors.
3" Hollow ground drop point blade, 7" OAL
CTS-XHP @ 60RC, .157" thick
slight convex bevel stropped to shaving sharp
