I have started these before but I like to keep it going and see what people are carrying. It changes all the time, so here is a NEW edc thread.

Show us what you carry, or just use around the house etc.. Makers, don't be shy.

Leavitt EDK, after one year of every day use;

It lives in my pocket, from 9-5 and does all kinds of knife related things.
Really, really well:)

I am carrying my Sibert MPR. It has been in my pocket since it's arrival.

I literally dug in my pocket to check. Yup, here it is. I always carry a Sunday-go-to-meeting custom folder for the occasion.

(Tomorrow is work Monday. That's when the not-as-tolerant or as custom knives surface. I often carry either a LARGE Benchmade Rukus or the smaller version as an auto. I'm sure it's illegal. Too bad. ;) I rotate in my Tim Wright small fixed blade, too. No photos yet.)

Here's my usual EDC, but today I only have the Military... Andy, that's a really, really old one! Did I also make that sheath?

Nice little blade but I wanted to ask you about the sheath. I notice the clip is on the exterior held on with a rivet. How do you carry the knife, normally? Pocket carry you say? It just clips onto the edge of your pocket and hangs down inside? Works well?

I just hadn't seen a clip used that way before. Nice package!

Arguably my single most favorite knife, a much loved, much used JS hunter by Lin Rhea when it was a bit newer:

Andrew, yes that sheath clips into my pocket. The side against my leg is flat, and after making five of these sheaths I've found that is key. The rivet securing the clip is a pivot which allows the sheath to be carried in all different kinds of pants' pockets. There is a fairly thick welt under the edge and the opening is wide enough I can drop the knife right in like second nature. The thong is also a vital component in this method of carrying a small fixed blade. For mine at least.

Chris, that Rhea knife you have is sweet! I'm envious:thumbup:

Lota cool knives in this thread. For the last couple of weeks this is what I've been carrying:

John Perry makes a sweet coil-spring auto. The all-damascus aspect is not everyone's cup of tea and even damascus nuts are a little challenged by the intensity of the patterns. I love it, especially after owning it for several years.

Recently, I found out that if I heat the knife before going out into cold, it'll help keep me warm for a long time. That's not something one would ordinarily wish for in a knife but it turns out to be a handy side-effect of an all metal knife. Today I cut up a bunch of cardboard boxes with it for the recycle bin. This particular damascus cuts with a very fine saw-tooth edge so cardboard doesn't phase it.

Last time I talked to you it was 5 knives. What happened??

Today I had my Lochsa in the left pocket, and a Pro-Tech Godfather in the right. I forgot the usual Case peanut in the "watch fob" pocket. :o

Buddy, I like that. I still enjoy this Hanson with grippy mammoth.

There is nothing exceptional about this knife, yet it spends more time on my belt, in my back pack, in my pocket, etc. than any other.
I carry because of what it represents to me.
I made this goal in my knife making to travel somewhere every year and study some aspect of knife making that I wanted to know more about from whatever knife maker either excelled at it, or had a reputation for it.
That has been the single most enjoyable aspect of my career, and that is what this knife represents to me.
In 2005, I rode my motorcycle out to Ed Fowler's in Wyoming from my home in Illinois. I wanted to take his "Seminar of the High Performance Blade" and rreally learn how to treat my "special" find of 5160. While I was there I got to work not only with Ed, but Eldon Perkins, Bill Burke and Butch Devereaux.
I completely enjoyed my ride, made friends that I still communicate with today, and learned how to make one heck of a knife.
I forged this blade while I was there after the week's course, and came home and finished it.
A greatly tarnished nickel silver guard and a rose wood handle.
It's not even representative of the knives I make today.
However, it has dressed more deer and other wild game in the last five years than I can even imagine.
It just means a lot to me and I show it whenever I get the chance.

I've carried this flipper for 11 months after selling my last EDC. It's marked prototype and was my IKBS test knife. CPM154, titanium, and Micarta.

I do have a billet of carbon damascus and will be making myself a new folder shortly. Been wanting to carry damascus for a long time.

Karl, I dig that knife a lot. It's a real beauty, I bet it fits you like an extra appendage.

David- I remember you posted something about making a folder, and I remember being really excited about a Broadwell lock blade. You obviously do not set out to disappoint! That's fabulous:thumbup:
