New edc thread

I've posted this before in Traditional, but it's been shown here.

No camera but another user of the Leavitt EDK, one of the most useful designs I have ever encountered.

A small one made of damascus and sambar.

Blade length 7,5 cm.
Total length 18 cm.

I think this will be my new EDC since I get bored with folders quickly.

Hope you like it!

I've been carrying this Kansei Matsuno City Knife for some weeks now. I usually have a slipjoint in my pocket too.

This is my EDC these days. It's the Benchmade Snody Activator. At first I was taken aback by how small it is but now it's really grown on me. Cheap, decent steel (D2) and once that ridiculous sheath that came with it was put aside it's been on my belt all day everyday for the last few weeks.

I did look around for a Sportster but couldn't find one.

I love this knife. I looked around but had trouble finding much out about
Mr.Hampton. Any clues?

What do you want to know?

He is a part time maker strongly associated with the Bose family, working their table at Blade alongside them. The Knut Buster is a pattern he is well known for, and they are very hard to get....I requested one from him well over a year ago, and it will probably be another 2 years before I get it.

Best Regards,

I was typing with one hand with my son in the other so I had to be brief. :)

That's good info there. I wanted to know where and how to get one basically.
I had seen reference to Mr. Bose but did not see a site for Mr.Hampton himself.

Thanks

He posts as KnifeHead on the Forums, you can PM him. As far as I know, that is the only way to request one, he really doesn't take orders.

I like that one ^ a lot too.

BUSSTR by STR (left pocket, for use when need to be sheeple friendly)

Spydie Military (right pocket, to rip into stuff with abandonment in private :))

David- I remember you posted something about making a folder, and I remember being really excited about a Broadwell lock blade. You obviously do not set out to disappoint! That's fabulous:thumbup:

Thanks Lorien. After I build my new folder, I'll probably refurbish the flipper and put it up for sale. Maybe people will forget it's used!

There are a lot of nice knives posted here. I enjoy these EDC threads.

David

Some NICE knives so far. I like that black palm folder VERY much Coop.

This one is an old "Parker bench made" that i've been carrying lately.

Peter I remember at the last Blade Show your showing me several of your EDCs that you had engraved?

Something I made a few weeks back. First knife I made for EDC for myself. Carbon steel, Ebony and Apple Coral with brass pins. Differentially hardened. As you can see in the in hand picture it's quite small. But it's wonderfull in hand and great in the pocket.
I don't think I'll ever sell this one. (not that I sell too many knives anyway)
