NEW EDC wanted

It's quite annoying to me too, but the fact is that the images are not being hosted on the BladeForums server. Thus the only bandwidth that it's eating up is your own download bandwidth, and only minimally, since the image appears so often that you've probably got it cached in your browser. You probably download it from whatever site it's hosted on once a month or so. Just trying to clear up a little tech point here. :)

It's just the aesthetic "loudness" of such a huge signature that I think needs to be toned down. It just detracts from the content of the post, though this might arguably be a good thing for some people's posts... Having a sig consistently take up more than half the post length is bad form, IMHO.

Back to the real topic, knives. Maybe you should take a look at Benchmade and Spyderco knives. They consistently get rave reviews on the forums, and have quite a selection of blade styles for you to choose from. I've got a Buck-Strider folder, but it has largely been supplanted in EDC by my Benchmade AFCK and Strider MFS (fixed blade). Personally, I don't like the look of Emerson knives, so for the price of a Commander I would go for the upcoming Camillus Dominator.

You should take a look at the new Buck/Mayo. I have one and I have sharpened a lot of different brand folders, of different steels, including a couple of Sebbies. The only ones that I have had take as good of an edge and hold it as well is a custom/handmade of S60V and another one that I just recently sharpened for a friend who was having problems sharpening it, a custom/handmade of S90V. The Buck/Mayo takes and holds an exceptional edge.

If you want a knife to last a lifetime, something very stong and functional like a Sebbie, but the Sebenza price tag is too much for ya?? Go with a Greco Framelock. I consider it a poor mans Sebbie. You also might want to check into a Al Mar Sere 2000. :)
