What a day!! The FOOD, the Exchange of ideas between Knifemakers and your hospitality made the 2 hour drive a Breeze. I look forward to the next gathering. Remember if you need me you know where I am.

George - I have to commend you for organizing this and pulling it off - it couldn't have been better! Great bunch of folks, terrific food, discussion, damascus being made and forged all day - a real treat - I'm looking forward to the next one.

Thanks for inviting me - much appreciated

endured for the gas and ele. ecct I thank you.

The knives shown were great some valued up to 4,000.00

Hammer-in
Joe Thanks for the time you
spent on us at the forge
and all involved,

and all the good talk with all you guys that were there.
I could go on and on but
I'm headed for bed, been up since 2:30 AM but well

What Bruce said! Unfortunately for me, a family party kept me away this time but my Grandma only turns 85 once! :)

Hey Bob
nice pictures, only problem is
you got ME in one of them.
I'm grinding on the cable Damascus I made right now.
  It's going to be good...:D

George, I sure wish I could have made it up to New Bedford this weekend, but it's kind of a long haul from Alabama Looks like you had a good turnout, good weather, and a good time. Did you introduce any of them to your pepper relish? You don't need a forge with that stuff, just breath on a hunk of metal and start hammering. It has humbled some rednecks down here, left a couple of them speechless. Let me know when and where to send my dues.

Tom: O!O!O! Yea!!!! The relish was in taste testing contest. Get your ass up here for Aug. 17 & 18. Tell the little lady how much you miss your sister.

Oh my GOD I could smell how hot that stuff was from across the table, That stuff is so hot I warned one of the knifemakers to watch out because that stuff is going to BURN TWICE!!!!

Roy: that's just one part of our "secret" heatreating cycles :p George is the master of the High test hot relish ... and your right it does burn twice
;)

I thought about sticking a blade in it to see if
we'd come up with a new way of hot bluing
but was afraid of warping it with the heat.
:D

I would just like to thank everyone that was there. And espically George and Joe for all they time they took instructing everyone. It was a great time. I already ground a blade out of a billett that I made while I was there. It was destined for folde blades but everyone there said it alresdy had the look for a dagger. It was made up of a whole bunch of leftover scraps of damascus, what people have been calling "frontier" damascus. But with a little help I twisted the billett and it came out awesome. I'll post pics when i'm done. I needs a Damascus guard and some Pearl scales.
Thanks,
Chuck
