new engraving

Here's a picture of something I just finished engraving for Johnny Stout. It's on meteorite. It had a lot of soft and hard spots, when I received it from Johnny it had been heat colored, not sure if that's why it had the soft & hard spots or not. Anyway, glad it's done, it gave me fits. Dwayne

I really like the contrast and high relief. I bet Johnny will be thrilled and so will the customer.

I did not know you had started engraving.
 
Thanks Gus, I've been wanting to engrave for 20 yrs and have had the equipment for 10 yrs but just recently started putting time in it. I've got to get caught up knife orders so I can spend even more time on it. The engraving has broke up the monotony. Talk to you later, Dwayne
