I'm late to the Ken Erickson bandwagon, but I'm lucky that there was still room.

I received this knife from Ken today. It's his own design and is somewhere between a trapper and jack knife. I'm quite impressed with Ken's work. The fit and finish, the shield, swedge, etc. It's all there. This knife is also nice and flat in my pocket. CMPM 154 steel and I think it's 3 5/8s closed but I can't find the danged ruler and my wife isn't here to tell me where it is. :o

Mike, that is a real beauty. I love the way Ken combines the ebony and steel. The swedging, bolsters, and fedshield come together just right on that piece. Congrats amigo! :)

Ken's work is amazing, and it just gets better and better. Congrats on a beautiful knife.

CONGRATULATIONS!! That is one gorgeous knife. That looks like a great knife to carry & use.

You would be hard pressed to find a knife from a better maker.

Nice score , that will make one heck of a carry knife.

Nice looking grind and fit. 'Tis a beauty to be sure! Love those black knives!!

Another perfect beauty from Ken ,Congrats Mike:thumbup:,

I love my only one from Ken. Been carrying it for a while now.

I keep going back and looking at that Ericson Mike. I like the way he rounds the bolsters into the liners. Ken has the soul of an 1800s Sheffield cutler hiding inside. His details get better on every knife!!

I don't think even the old Sheffield cutlers did it any better than these or any shown in this thread.:)

A great knife Mike. That one looks about as Traditional as they get. Ken is a master for sure. Congratulations to you both...

I'll be glad when OOPS runs and picks up that box. What's the weight on it now?

Darrell, I'm going to need to upgrade to a bigger box after all of the holiday feasting. My in-box view is rather limited at the moment.

Thanks for all of the nice comments on Ken's work. I hope it won't be my last.
