New ESEE-4 arrived today

Nice pick up, bro! Really dig the dt. Look forward to more pics, maybe you can convert me on the serrations. Lol

ME LOVE 4! I wonder if the 4 (next to izula) is ESEE's most popular knife? After all, ESEE is making a stainless 4 and would assume it must be popular to get the stainless.

Any thoughts?

Vin

Very nice. I never liked DT until I started looking at ESEE knives back in December. Got the 4 in DT with the brown/black scales from Dale. Love it. DT is really growing on me...should have an Izzy in DT today or tomorrow hopefully. I'm kind of middle of the road for serrations...none on an ESEE yet but I like how you've mentioned you use it and that it doesn't take away from the blade. Seems like it could get in the way for some tasks but I'm not exactly sure. Guess you just use the plain edge if needed.

Thanks. I like the DT as a color...but then I like Khaki. The serrations have just never bothered me and have helped more than once, I like them

Before clicking, I thought "as long as it isn't desert tan, I'll be fine...." SOB! I definitely need another 4 and DT it shall be!

Lol, both of the ones I have bought have been DT with serrated blades. I would like a green one...but I just can't get my head around those orange scales...I think there is someone who sells after market scales so I may go that route next.

The boot/belt clip for the 3MIL fits without modding. I think I am going to see if the molle back for the 3MIL, that I've never used...and not sure where it is... will work out.

Nice quiver you got there Mist.

I have the non serrated ESEE 4 in the same colour and love it. I swapped the scales for the longer aftermarket versions to fit my fat fands better - the fit is better but I have to say the original canvas micarta feels better than the new ones which are linen...

One question - what is the blade 2nd from the right?

I'm not a serration guy but those look nice and easy to maintain, any chance of a pic of the back side of the serrations

Mist, if-n ya don't mind I have a couple serration pics. ESEE serrations are my favorite of all I've seen. Nothing crazy, easy to sharpen.

I don't mind at all bro, in fact I'm glad you did. I didn't realize the the 5 had one less serration than the 4. I think the 5 will be my next one.

these threads kill me. i really want a junglas next, but it may have to be a 4.

I'd like a Junglas, but I doubt it would get much use. I love my 12" machete and it handles all my chopping needs, and I don't use it all that much really.

Serrations arent for everyone, I just like having them around.
