I finally took some pics of my new ESEE knives. I chose for my first an RC4 with Orange handle, with the molle back and survival pouch. I filled the tin with some goodies that I can always have with me.
The tin contains:3'x3' heavy aluminum foil, signal mirror, pencil, large eye needle, 2 sheets of note paper, magnifying lens, diamond hone, Streamlight micro light, whistle, TAD spark-lite with nylon thread wrap and needle under shrink wrap, spare flints, 2 aqua tabs, spark-lite tinder, 50' heavy duty nylon thread, fishing kit(small hooks, splitshot, small jig, snap swivel), 20mm button compass, all held closed by 2 ranger bands. I also have a small roll of duct tape in the bottom of the pouch and some safety pins on the outside.
Finally I have my new Izula wrapped in a combo of orange and OD para cord with a neat little tritium bead on the end. i hope to get a lot of use out of these this summer and for years to come. Please enjoy the pics.

The puches are not made to fit the RC-4 but can be made to fit. That's a really nice survival setup on this rig. That's about all we allow our students during the woodland course.

Really nice setup. Looks like you scavenged some components from a Ritter pocket survival pack:thumbup:

Ah right. I thought that it was for a particular purpose.
I guess it makes sense that you would want everything you carry around to be as useful as possible.

Also a small piece of aluminum foil wrapped around a hook makes a great improv fishing lure. It's like duct tape, only limited by your imagination.

Great little kit!

The 4 was my first and probably still my favorite ESEE blade. Just a great, universal little knife.
