New(est) Washboard sharpening version and short vids

** ... **

It would be super cool, if you could just toss (a very long one) the package over to my place... no waiting time :D

I'll have to put it on the Elon Musk/USPS hyperloop delivery system. Should take about 4 hrs - faster than some pizzas I've ordered :D

Just gonna inject a quick review in here.

Got mine a few weeks ago (first one, so can't compare to the original) but am very happy with this so far. The tactile feedback is great. I am currently refining the convex edge I put on roughly with my belt sander on my Old Hickory Butcher knife. It was my first convex grind I did, and def needs refining. Grinding the shoulders a bit now, and working great. Also used just the copy paper and compound to strop my EDC S30V Griptillian and M4 Gayle Bradley. It works great. I really like the versatility and feedback this system has.

For the price, you can't get a more versatile system, that uses readily (and cheaply) replaced sharpening materials, and also supports a fellow forum member that has helped me on my sharpening journey.

In short, buy this.

Glad its working out for you!

Got it. Thanks hyper-oops!

I waved (multiple times and repeatable) the package across a bunch of dull knives - how come knives aren't sharp by proximity to WB2? Oh please don't tell me my pile of dull knives didn't hit critical mass :p

Looking forward to sharpening with WB2:thumbup:

edit to add:
11" x 2.5" is just great, especially compliment nicely with my long sharpening stroke. Of course, I tested Martin's new SiC compound and got a pic to show off my not so perfect edge. Yup, grab a test knife from a pile dmt EE the apex and went to town with WB2 for ~3 minutes... my kid thought I was buzz sawing something. Martin, you lucky dog won this round. I'll be back ;)

BC, I missed the update!

It loads up a lot faster the more you lean on it but it just doesn't give much past the initial crush, errant passes are more likely to round it than the surface. When really leaned on, the last micron or so of the edge will sometimes start to microscopically break up before it will round off, but can be quickly repaired with a few passes at lighter force.

3 lbs - you ain't playin'...:)
