Hey Guys and Gals! I have been using a "Personalizer Plus" for quite a while now and the wiring and Graphite block are shot. Any recommendations? Should I buy another or is there a better option? Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

You can buy graphite block on ebay cheap

i bought the same machine a few months ago. my black lead that connects to the graphite block ends in a plug that plugs into the block, and was made to be removable. do you have an older model that was permanently connected to the block ? if you can re connect that wire it will still work as good as new. my plug has a small silver set screw on the side of it. if you have the same plug, remove that screw, get the corroded old copper out of there with a toothpick. soak it in some windex or whatever you use on your stamp to neutralize it. cut your black wire off an inch to get rid of the corroded copper, strip the wire, insert it in the plug and put the screw back in.

I've made etch pads out of new or used motor brushes. Leads come already attached.

You can also buy replacement etch pads from various places, but making your own may be considerable cheaper. If you can't find a motor brush, as has been said, you can get graphite blocks and make the connection how you see fit. I imagine you could replace the entire wire of your personalizer plus pretty easily, if needed, or just cut the bad part out, strip some fresh copper out, and connect accordingly.

I use a block of 316 stainless as my marking head. It has a blind hole that accepts the banana plug. Easy peasy.

my plug is in bad shape and the hole in the block is wollowed out but it still works i keep telling myself im going to buy a new block (easy to orderr) i just never seem to get around to it
