Hey Bobby....

Thank you for buying another Becker........ The Sweet Sixteen is what I have been primarily carrying...... I hope yours works her buns off for you.....

Thank-you for designing such great knives and having then manufactured and sold for an excellent price. Now I just need to hurry up and get my 4, 5, and 15 before they're all gone, then my 7, 11, 12, 17 followed up with another 2 and 9.

Really wish you'd bring that awesome bk1 back [emoji6]

Btw Beckers are the only brand of knives I find myself wanting and buying several of, I like a few other manufacturers but typically only find 1-3 fixed blade designs I like or want enough to buy within each brand.

Gotta question for those of you who have had and used your 16 for awhile now. What edge have you found works best on it? This is my first true flat grind knife and I'm debating on what I want to do with it, so was hoping do input from y'all would save me time and steel experimenting. Should I slightly convex it, or thin out the factory edge a lil to 15-17 dps?

I just touched up the factory edge and set the edge at 20 dps (one side was off and closer to 25° ) it definitely takes an insanely sharp edge thou.

I keep mine appx 20 dps. If I think it, it does get scary sharp, but doesn't hold it long. 20 dps gives me a very sharp edge that doesn't lose its shaving ability for a good while. Guess it depends on what you'll be using it for. I'm speaking from outdoors/bushcraft use.

Same basic use, and also edc. I just wasn't sure on how well a flat grind holds up. A saber grind like the 2 and 9 I know how acute I can go before compromising edge strength. Figured it'd be better to ask and save some unnecessary steel removal. I'll run it at 20dps for now and see how I like it.

Congrats on the 16, Bobby. I totally agree that the Becker line has more designs that are useful, and more beautiful, than most other brands.

Thanks, just ordered my 710 sheath for it can't wait until it arrives so I can add it to my edc rotation.
