I got this modified JK Hiker today and it is bound to be my new Favorite knife. The handle is in Red Micarta and Matches my new JK hatchet. The Blade is 01, 4 1/2 inch long, 1 1/4 inches tall and is 1/16 inch thick. A real slicer and should combo well with the new Hatchet. He has a slight clip point. The handle is 4 1/2 inches long and fits my big hand well.

It is snowing again today after being 84 yesterday, gotta love this place, the temp is 60 degrees less than 24 hours ago:mad: I had planned on doing some knife testing today but it looks like we have about a week of this crap in the forecast

Nice knife..Sorry to hear about your weather, especially since whatever you get, tends to hit us in Upper Michigan about 1-2 days later... It's beautiful today, but supposed to start the rainy cool stuff tomorrow..

Great looking knife. I think that the Hikers is my favorite knife of all I own. Sorry about the snow.

Nice looking blade, I'm jealous because my regular hiker isn't here yet, even though I venture that I might be a tad closer to John than you are geographically.

USPS shows it arrived in your town this morning, you should be seeing it soon.

I'm not blaming you at all John, and I know it will show up tommorow, but I'm just so excited. Not that I'm gonna get to play with it at all this weekend though, I just found out I'm gonna have to work saturday and sunday.

Actually my hiker is waiting for me at home, got delivered at 1:08 and the USPS tracking just decided to tell me that. Can't wait.

Thanks guys, This has been a long winter here. We are also having flooding. There is 20 feet of water across the hiway out to where I often fish. It will be a month before they can open that road again.

I sliced up a Pork Loin with it tonight, it does slice very well. I like the weight of it as well, lighter than my standard Hiker. Not much but just a bit.

siguy just sharpened my urban tank from jk and holy crap is it sharp. i will take pictures this weekend. i have never had a knife this nice before. great quality knife and now its razor sharp.
