At Fiddleback Forge we're bringing our knife-making artistry to the production knife market and we're happy to introduce our new production Bushfinger. This is the first model in the new mid-tech line to make it to the dealer network. Patterned after the flagship Bushfinger of the Fiddleback Forge line up, this knife is made of Crucible CPM S35VN stainless steel and sports three-dimensionally contoured and textured Micarta handle scales.

The knife has an overall length of 8-3/4 inches (22 cm), and has a blade length of 4 inches (10 cm). The knife comes in two colors; you can take your pick between the organic earthy-looking natural canvas Micarta or the sleek and stylish black canvas Micarta handle scales. It also comes with a durable, high quality, brown Bushcraft-style pouch sheath from JRE Industries.

As stated, this Bushfinger is actually a mid-tech knife. This means that it is not a straight-up production knife that is made only with the use of automated machinery. Instead, these knives are each hand assembled at the Fiddleback Forge shop and they are also hand-tuned and adjusted. They incorporate some of the same personal touches as the handmade line of knives, as well as the great fit and finish you would expect, but at a significant savings when compared to a handmade stainless Bushfinger.

Take a close look at the handle scales and you will see that they are three-dimensionally contoured to provide the kind of excellent comfort that you have come to expect from Fiddleback Forge. They are also CNC milled and textured to ensure a secure grip in use, even under less than ideal conditions. The scales are held in place via a set of three screws that have been secured with Loctite to mitigate loosening during hard use.

This knife features a 5/32 inch (4mm) thick blade made from Crucible CPM S35VN stainless steel, which has been proven to be a good tough steel for hard working knives. This steel also has a great level of corrosion resistance to serve you well in high-humidity and salt water environments, requiring less in-the-field care than their high carbon steel counterparts. Finally, the tumbled finish will preserve the sharp appearance of the knife by showing less wear of use over time than a polished finish.

A lot of thought has been put into the design of this knife in order to bring it to you with an optimum balance of good cutting geometry, comfort, user-friendliness and the durability to serve you well over many years of use. It isn't every day that we can bring a knife of this quality and durability to our customers in a volume quantity. If you've been waiting for CPM S35VN stainless steel for your outdoor adventures, your waiting is now over.

Thank you!
