new fighter- handle suggestions?

Thsi is my latest design and the first double edged fighter I have successfully ground. 1/8" thick A-2 with a 4 3/8" blade and a 3 1/2" top edge. I want to put a nicer handle on it than my usual G-10. Any suggestions?

Definietly OD or black micarta. Or if you wanted to go wood, maybe ebony or a darker burl. Check eBay and search on "knife scales". You might find something to your liking...

I thought he wanted something "fancier" and most of us are suggesting another form of plastic.....what's up with that? lol African backwood is a member of the rosewood famiy. MUCH easier to work with than ebony, in my experience and looks about the same.

Aluminium? peened on with alluminum pins and then once fixed and shaped, given a brushed/chequered non-slip finish?

I like the wrap suggestion. You could jewel the tang and wrap it with gaps that allow the jeweling to show through from underneath. That'll make it fancy and rugged looking at the same time.
