Is it the picture, or do I see a temper line running down the blade? Is that blade diff-tempered? Can you tell us a little about the heat treat?

Also, on your website you list A-2 as one of the steels you use. How do you rate it against O-1 on the larger knives? Thanks.

Matt,
Excellent job as usual...but this piece has that x-tra touch that makes it really special. Folks, Matt Lamey's abilities are taking off as fast as a rocket. I have 3 knives by this gentleman (and he is a true gentleman) and I love them all dearly.

Think about ordering before he gets busier. I am sure that will happen.

I am digging this blade.

You sure have an eye for proportion. I love the handle, it adds distinction and a modern touch, but doesn't distract from the fact that you have nailed the classic Bowie.

It looks better now, i took about 1/8" off the bottom of the guard and put a "Moran" type edge on it as per customer request, also rounded the chiol drop/edge juncture. Really made it look better "porportioned".
