Fine looking knife and great to see more detailed info about differential heat treatment.
 
Thanks for the welcome and nice words about my work.
As for the differential heat treatment,
I used a 2 to 3 gallon rectangular tray filled with room temperature water with a steel block in it to rest the blade edge on. The blade was submerged just over half way up and I used a torch to heat the spine while keeping the edge cool in the water.
My desire was to make the back just a bit softer the the edge and after the first heat I put it in the hardness tester and got 51 so I left it there.
I wish I could remember the smith that I learned that from to give him proper credit.
