There are remarkably few high end small flippers on the market
Precisely. Outside of a few custom makers that immediately come to mind, sub 3" high end flippers are few and far between.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

Is it just me, or is that wide blade look a little stubby being so short.
I think the domino is just right for that blade shape, but making it shorter without slimming down the blade looks odd to me.
It's not only you. I don't know what the idea is behind it. IMHO a wide blade shape has limited usability. I have a Ka-Bar Dozier Hunter folder. Wide 3" blade. It's stout for hell but is clumsy when to comes to delicate tasks like boning meat joints.
I think a lot of us wanted a larger Domino, not a smaller one! Looks great, though.
... I can't imagine needing anything more than a Southard and a mini Southard.
