New for 2015

I just saw the 2015 updates, very exciting.

The upgraded Espada is very enticing, not to mention all the 3V being thrown around.
I also love the studed Tri-Ad lock, that's some brilliant thinking. Please put it on the Hold Out series, and it would probably work well for everything else too.

Yeah, I like the Tiger Claw, but the new lock configuration is one of the big reasons I want one. If they can make the Triad lock truly one-handed it'll be a huge win.

Will a normal production version exist? Because that looks lovely..

How long are the blades??

Sadly, this is limited edition only. There are no plans to make a full production run.

SPECS:
Weight: 4.1oz
Blade Thick: 2mm
Blade Length: 2 ¼” / 2.5” / 3.5”
Handle: 4 ¼” Amber Bone Stag
Overall: 9 7/8”
Steel: CPM-S35VN
Nickel Silver bolsters, liners and pins
LIMITED EDITION (600 PIECES)
MADE IN THE USA
MSRP: 349.99

Thanks

That's a real shame.

I'd definitely buy a traditional pattern if you guys were to make them as a standard product. Limited runs are so far beyond my wallet I'd never managed to have one to use..

Are the San Mai Recon Tanto and SRK going to be dropped from production? After owning both these classic blades in AUS8A, would have loved to get them in VG1 but why the Tuff-EX? I mean, even the supposedly cheaper Leatherneck series feature D2 with DLC now... Tuff-EX is arguably the most unpopular feature on CS blades over the years and the only thing that is not living up to the CS "Strongest" reputation...

No, the San Mai models are not being discontinued.
San Mai is still being used, just in very limited runs each year.
We are using a lot more DLC now on many of the models
Some still have Tuff-Ex, but all of these materials are in a transitional phase
There are lots of exciting plans for the next few years

Thanks

Cold Steel Rep,

Any timeframe when the CTS XHP Recon and American Lawman will be available? These are some excellent offerings from you guys!

Some of the Recons are already shipping. The Lawman will be a little longer, perhaps even a couple of months

Now if we could just see a big fat clip point lockback like the Black Rhino make a comeback in an upgraded steel.... that would really make my year!

That would be awesome. The Black Rhino is my personal all-time favorite Cold Steel knife. I'd love to see it's return
