There is "Sneak Peek For 2017" knives feature in the latest issue of Blade (Spring 2017 Annual) magazine.
On page 88, there is a write-up on the Cold Steel Frenzy folder and a picture. (This was listed earlier this year on the Moteng distributer's website.)
It has a 5.5.-inch blade of CTS-XHP, thumb stud opener, Wharncliffe-style with a fuller.
It is based off an ancient Japanese knife called the kabutowari with a thick spine, slender blade, needle-sharp piercing point and a long, flat cutting edge.
It has the Tri-Ad Lock, 3D-machined G10 handle scales that are multi-colored In three versions: green and black, blue and black and grey and black.
Here is an attempt at describing the picture of it:
It looks very thin overall compared to most of Cold Steel's XL folders. (It is shown from the left side only. Hopefully more pictures will be made available soon.)
There are two smaller finger grooves at the bottom of the handle; the first at the end of the handle and the second is right before the lockbar release.
With one larger finger groove at the front of the handle.
The lockbar release is maybe a couple of inches from the front end.
The jimping is the same way as it is on the Broken Skull; only in the G10 handle scales, not the lockbar.
It looks like they went with smooth G10 on this, with some small slots or lines machined into it for gripiness in the middle of the handle.
There is a handle cut-out for easier access to the thumb stud.
Satin-finished blade and hardware.
The main difference of this (compared to other Cold Steel folders), is that the lanyard hole is covered up by the pocket clip. There is a milled cut-out for the pocket clip to fit into.
Closed length: 6.75-inches. MSRP: $239.99.
