New From GEC

There are three ways to open that blade!! Pinch, nick and hook!
I ordered one without the liner lock, but with that prominent tab, I think the liner lock will be easy to release one-handed, to close the knife as well.
I am looking forward to handling this one. More to come after it gets here!

I'm extremely disappointed that this is a one time run and will be sold out before I can get one. Wow, what a bummer. :(

... The sudden, short-supply surprises do make it difficult to (have) knowledgeably save(d) up in time.

Or,

Planning, schmanning, look what just appeared! Now what?!

There are some razor barlows (#15 frame) on the horizon, but those will of course have a different overall form factor.

Speaking of which...

... the blade on this #85 looks too deep (spine to edge) to fit the #15 handle, yes? But perhaps other details of function and aesthetics shall be noted and adjusted or kept. I look forward to your impressions. :)

The blade will be redesigned to fit the #15, but how it looks remains to be seen. That long, straight blade spine seems to clash somewhat with the #85s teardrop curves, but will look better on the more straight-sided #15 I believe!

Now you're talking...

they are sure selling out fast, maybe there will be another run, only just managed to grab one though without the LL, - better for me anyway, seeing I am left handed.

It's funny, I only have one functional arm/hand and I just figured out how to open a slipjoint without this modification. :)

@Halfneck, that sounds like quite a knack. I sometimes idly open my slipjoints with one hand, but it is slow and dangerous.

do people think it would be possible to use the blade catch as a caplifter? or would that be a gross abuse of hte knife?

After owning the SFO #85 EO linerlock, I think I would love to own this one! The old-timey one hand opening knife!
