new g10 lawman, sand paper?

my new g10 lawman just came in from kc, loved it but i have never seen g10 scales as aggressive as these, i liken it to sandpaper. i cant edc this knife. nice knife cold steel, almost the perfect edc blade, but man i cant get past the texturing of the g10, im afraid its going stright to trade.

You can use fine grit sandpaper to smooth the scales down(remember to use a mask). I personally like aggressive scales as you can get a better grip on the knife. Plus they do tend to wear down over time. Wrecks your jeans though.

I took care of mine with sandpaper in about 30 seconds. Only the area under the clip, where it would shred one's pocket. You can make it as smooth as you want.

id keep it and just sand the scales alittle or you can just use it a little and the g-10 will get smoother.ive got a mini tac beavertail that was the same way when i got it but after a little use,it smoothed out.

If only it kept that grippy feeling. It wears off after a couple weeks of carry. Not a big deal at all, nothing that cannot be worked through in some simple way or another. As mentioned sandpaper, or just regular use will take care of it.

What does? Carrying the knife as you normally would? Or removing 3 screws, sanding for 30 seconds and putting the screws back on?

you might have seen it if, cs didnt put sand paper for grips. im at knife one guys and i dont plann on buying anymore lawman. heck this one i have is for trade.
