I hate all things SOG, but I do like their fasthawk.

Also, I dislike Gerber products, but do have a powerframe as a beater, and it has held up well.

How about you guys?

I like the Hinderer lookalike from SRM. Not because it looks like a Hinderer, but because the handle looks very comfortable.

Agree with OP; I don't really like SOG. I like their Flash 1. It's a nifty little knife, blade steel is fine, and i like how the red "safety" contrasts with the black handles.

Don't really like SOG either, but love my Pentagon Elite I and II.

Don't really care for Cold Steel, but I like my Trail Master

Can't stand Microtech but that Whaleshark looks amazing even if they did steal the idea from Kershaw.

Let's be clear. The whaleshark was not stolen from kershaw. Now maybe the matrix was but that's neither here no there. Microtech actually made the whaleshark prototype some years back. It's a Johnny Liao design FYI.

Whatever. The point is....don't like MT....do like their whaleshark (to look at at least).

CQC-7V - Other than that, the chisel grinds and overall value (or not) of Emerson's and their fervent following escapes me.

I had a nice CQC-7V that I liked a good deal but I traded it for something I liked more anyway. I became fond of that 7V . . .

Not only do you take good pics of knives, you have good opinions as well. I can't say I don't LIKE emerson. I am just kinda Meh about them. I have handled the cqc7v and although I think it is the best looking one, i didn't want it too bad after I held it. Kinda confused by the phenomenon myself, but admittedly I don't have much experience with them.

I haven't been a big fan of Cold Steel's products for the most part, or their marketing, but I thought the American Lawman was an extremely well made and well designed knife.
