New game: name a knife you DO like from a company you DON'T like

I'm not to fond of Cold Steel's approach to marketing, but I like some of their old products like the Carbon V Master Hunter or VG-1 Voyager. Andrew Demko brought a lot to the company, and if Tri-Ad lock knives were available in better steel and made in Japan or the US I'd definitely buy a few.

Like several others here I'm not a big fan of SOG, but really dig the X-Ray Vision. Good steel, good lock, good ergos and it has liners..

I hate Cold Steel's approach to business in general (and LT), but the Mini AK-47 is awesome, and the Kudu is a great 8$ knife.
I'd also like a Recon 1, and the full sized AK-47.

dont like cold steel(seems to be a trend here) but i would like to check out a push dagger

Columbia River Knife & Tool: I dont hate this brand.. but I dont like most of their products. However, I bought a CRKT M21-14SFG (Big Dog) with veff serrations and an M16-14SFG (Big Dog) also with veff serrations and fell inlove with them. I ended up sending the M16 back for another M21 because I loved the big belly blade. It is an amazing knife. I EDCed both knives for about 4+ years and only got rid of them because we just had a baby and I needed the money. But now Im thinking about getting another one exactly like I had before, the M21-14SFG is still one of my all time favorite EDCs.. Even with how big it is, it still carries nice and flat and is comfortable for EDC. Four + years and never a chip or break and still had a centered blade that locked up solid.

Another one is Cold Steel.. I never really liked their knives either but my wife gave me a Peace Keeper 2 as a gift and I love it. Its my "car" knife, I never take it out unless I need it. Ive had that for 5+ years without any problems.. even when I tried to use it as a cork screw for our anniversary. I know.. I know.. DUMB ASS MOVE!! But the knife didnt seem to mind, except for the fact it cut/broke cleanly through the bottle.

Cold Steels marketing isnt desirable, but I loved there 1st Gen recon 1 tanto, and I used my bowie bushman a lot while camping, its a good beater. And the new tri-ad locks have treated me really well in my ak-47 2nd Gen. I also like the belly it has.

I don't like Coldsteel marketig, buy would like to get the Triad Lock Voyagers or Recon ...
i believe hes referring to the Inron MY803 knife.

CRKT like other don't hate it I just can't see my self buying any more of there knives I have the drifter never used it . But love the looks of the SHENANAGAN . But like I said before I can't see my self buying a CRKT.

Don't like the many issues with Microtech. Poor CS and accusations of TM being a DB and a thief turn me off.

But I love the look of some of their knives (OTFs and the new Delta and Whaleshark).

What is it about not liking a company? The more variety, the more knife manufacturers are out there: the better for me! So I have nothing to report, sorry! ;)

Don't like: Gerber

Like: Their Finnish-made axes (even if they're just rebranded Fiskars, they still count)

Dont like: Cold Steel

Like: trail tomahawk. For around $30, you get a 1055 drop forged hawk head thats differentially heat treated, along with an american hickory handle. Durable, well designed, quality stuff, just poor fittings which can be fixed with a little work. Bang for your buck is too good!

I don't care for Gerber because of the way they filled the spot of poor quality knives at low prices, although; I am interested in the De Facto Fixed Blade Knife, and the Mark I, II's.
